Well, I awoke early on day 4 and headed immediately to the Firestone Dealer in San Diego where I had ordered 2 new tires.
I was informed that it would take a few hours to replace the damaged tire. After wasting the entire previous day, this seemed like no time at all. I decided to have breakfast and work on my website. I received a call at about 10:30am that the car was ready and I rushed over to pick it up. Unfortunately, there is no allocated space in Serendipity's trunk for a spare tire, so, it took some effort to insert the tire in an already over-stuffed trunk. After trying various configurations, I finally got everything crammed in. Whew! Finally, I was ready to set off back down the Baja and on to San Ignacio.
I was looking forward to 2 things, yes, you guessed it, yet another Lobster Burrito, yummy! A little something about me, as another great friend, Lynne (incidentally, Patrick's amazing sister) has told me time and time again, "Ron, You are Insatiable!!!", and it's 100% true, I am totally insatiable. In every facet of my life, I experience everything I can and live life to the fullest; no regrets. And, I was very excited to meet Terry and Gary, in person, I had talked to Terry every day since having the tire problem and she was very understanding and flexible.
Well, I was in for a long day of driving, about 10 hours and fortunately, there were no mishaps this time. I made it to Mama Espinoza's, had yet another delicious Lobster Burrito and then headed to San Ignacio. I arrived at Ignacio Springs, Terry and Gary's very cool B&B, at about 10pm.
They were waiting with a very warm greeting and a delicious piece of Carrot Cake, perfecto! After that, Terry personally escorted me to my yurt, it was very cool and totally comfortable. One of the best things about their decision the set up yurts as opposed to a traditional B&B is that they fit in with the landscape perfectly and no beautiful palm trees were harmed.
As Terry said, "We decided the trees had been there over a hundred years and we had no right to remove them". Way to go, Terry and Gary! After my long day of driving, I was toast and a very comfortable bed awaited. ZZZzzzzz!
